Fr. Anthony Chinnabatini
Fr. Anthony Chinnabathini is a native priest of India. Born in 1971, Fr. Anthony came to Diocese of Boise, Idaho from his hometown Govindapuram in the Diocese of Nalgonda, India.
Fr. Anthony was the seventh of his nine siblings; six brothers and two sisters. He completed his primary studies in St. Don Bosco School in his hometown, and high school at St. Xavier's High School in Suryapet, India. His parents, now deceased, were his greatest influence in discerning to become a priest.
Fr. Anthony studied philosophy at St. John's Seminary in Kondadaba, India and Theology at Vianney College in Janampet, Eluru, India. Fr. Anthony was ordained as priest on April 29, 1996 in the Diocese of Nalgonda, India.
After his ordination Fr. Anthony was appointed as an assistant and then as a prish priest in a neighboring Diocese. He returned to his Diocese, Diocese of Nalgonda in 2000 and became the rector of Our Lady of Fatima Shrine in Fathimapur, India from 2000 to 2006. Later he ws appointed as the rector of St. Francis Boarding School from 2006 to 2011. In 2011 he was named as the Procurator of the Diocese of Nalgonda, serving in that position from 2011 to 2018.
2018 he joined the Diocese of Boise.
Prior to taking up his assignment as an Administrator of St. Ann's Bonners Ferry, Fr. Anthony served as Parochial Vicar at St. George Cathoic Church, Post Falls from 2019 to 2021.
